Sisters & Sequins Lounge Brings Collaboration, Connection and Community to Biz Fest South West
Women in business found more than just a place to network at this year’s Biz Fest South West, thanks to the vibrant Sisters & Sequins Lounge – a welcoming space designed to encourage genuine conversation, collaboration and connection.
Created by Devon businesswoman Katie Arscott, the lounge offered a refreshing alternative to the traditional exhibition stand. Instead of simply showcasing a business, it invited women to slow down, connect and support one another in a relaxed and stylish setting.
“Instead of just having a presence at Biz Fest, we created a space. I wanted it to feel like coming home to your best friend’s lounge said” Katie Arscott
Throughout the event, the lounge became a hub for meaningful conversations, new friendships and business connections. Visitors described an atmosphere that felt welcoming, inclusive and refreshingly free from competition.
Rebecca Cullen said: “Conversations happened naturally and felt genuine, and that sense of opening doors for each other felt very true to everything Sisters & Sequins stands for.”
Jessica Vassallo added: “What stood out to me was the camaraderie and collaboration. It really didn’t feel competitive.”
Donna Reynolds agreed, saying: “The lounge had its own vibe. It was friendly, glam and inclusive. Everyone was welcoming and happy to chat.”
The Sisters & Sequins Lounge demonstrated the growing demand for spaces where women in business can build authentic relationships, share ideas and champion each other’s success. It was a standout feature of Biz Fest South West, leaving many attendees feeling inspired by the power of community over competition.
