NEWS: Stronger Together – Passing On the Blueprint for Success

Years before remote work became a global movement, a Devon entrepreneur quietly built her business from the ground up, proving what was possible with vision and determination and is now helping other women do the same.

Kellie Simpson started her Virtual Assistant (VA) business in 2018. Back then, the idea of providing remote business support was still relatively new. There was no ready-made market and every new client was hard-won through networking.

“I never tried to be anyone else. From the very start, it was about being honest with people and how I could help them. That became the cornerstone of my brand – honesty, reliability, integrity”

The moment everything changed

The business started to grow steadily and Kellie was increasingly busy. Then, overnight, the world changed. The Covid-19 pandemic completely shifted people’s attitudes to remote work. The VA industry grew rapidly, and so too did demand for Kellie’s services.

The Outrageously You Awards

Fast forward to 2025 and Kellie now heads up a team of 15 associates, all supporting lawyers
and busy entrepreneurs to manage their workloads. Her success has recently been recognised with an award nomination in the Outrageously You Awards, in the category ‘Outrageously
Authentic’.

“It’s lovely to be nominated, especially for authenticity. Being honest with people, showing up
for them, staying true to what I believe in – these are the things that matter to me.”

The next chapter: launching a VA mentoring service

Kellie is also on the verge of another exciting milestone – the launch of her new coaching service. It’s designed to help VAs at two key stages of their business journey:
1: New VAs who’ve been in business around 6 months and need some extra support with
winning clients and establishing their brand.
2: Established VAs who are ready to scale their business by growing a team, expanding their
services or reaching new markets.

The S.T.R.O.N.G Framework

Strength is a big theme in the programme. It builds on the business’ values of Strong Structured Support and also references Kellie’s love of strength training and weight lifting in the gym! As a result, the S.T.R.O.N.G. framework was born as a unique tool to help guide VAs to business
success…
Success – Define your version of success and set goals.
Time – Streamline processes and focus your efforts.
Resilience – Build strength to adapt and bounce back.
Opportunity – Identify and seize new paths to growth.
Nurture – Invest in relationships that promote trust and success.
Growth – Scale intentionally, sustainably, and with confidence.

“I’m so excited to work with a new generation of female entrepreneurs. Women in business are superheroes. They’ve launched a business, started growing a brand, often whilst juggling the demands of a family or another job. My role is to give them that extra support to take things to the next level, to share what I’ve learned and help them to succeed. We’re always stronger together.”

Kellie Simpson runs a successful virtual support business, helping busy lawyers and professionals. Her new VA mentoring service is about to launch and will help VAs grow their business.
